This oil painting features the small harbour called 'la Pointe Courte ', located in Sète in southern France. In this work I tried to convey the timeless atmosphere of this little harbour with its fishermen's huts and small boats used to fish on the 'étang de Thau', an inland lake comminicating with the sea. I was particularly interested int the colour contrasts between light and shade and in the reflections of the sky, huts and boats in the water. This oil painting, made on a linen canvas with extrafine pigments is ready to hang. The sides are painted blue for presentation.
