“A Marvellous Night for a Moondance” is a large expressive abstract seascape oil painting 50 x 80cm (20 x 31.5 inches) on a 4cm (1.5 inch) deep canvas.
Painted after watching the full moon shining brightly over the sea in Hastings. The title is from the song “Moondance” by Van Morrison
It's painted in black and white with a tiny bit of Prussian blue. The paint is layered and blended and textured in parts with a slight glossy sheen.
The image continues around the sides of the artwork and it is signed on the back. It’s ready to hang and comes with a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity.
Please note the in situ images are not to scale but hopefully they give an good idea of how the painting will look in a modern interior.
