Original artwork description:

This oil painting depicts a picturesque little harbour on a river estuary in Western France. Boats for fishing on the river are moored at the river bank. A great attention has been put to the contrasts between light and shade and to the reflections in the water. I first made watercolours in-situ. I then used them as studies to realise this oil painting on a linen canvas. It was made in successive glazes, a technique which gives depth and luminosity. This work is ready to hang. It will be shipped with a certificate of authenticity, carefully packed and insured. The frame in the last photo is for reference only but on request this work can be sold framed.
