This original artwork is a thread painting created using translucent papers, embroidered threads, fabrics, acrylics and watercolour paint.

At home, our bookshelves are filled with all sorts of paraphernalia from our lives, including books of course! I've grown to accept the steady migration of bits and pieces that come to populate the shelves - memories from our travels, a favourite bottle nestled between a couple of 'volumes' and home to an African daisy picked from the garden, books half read then put down open for easy access later on. I actually really like how these cluttered corners develop and grow to reflect our lives.

Here, elements of the composition are all connected and reliant on each other - balancing, resting, leaning or overhanging over one another and interlinked with one unbroken thread over rich colours.
