Original artwork description:

In response to police violence across the world, especially state mandated violence aimed at protestors.

Whether it be for fairer wages, a greener planet, against oppression of one group or another, protest is a very visual way to bring your grievance to the attention of the state. In Britain, Extinction Rebellion and in France the Gilet Jaune, to name but two groups that have been on the receiving end of police violence. The list in reality is endless, no longer seen as protectors, amour clad policemen and women wade into groups of protestors with their batons ringing with volleys of rubber bullets and tear gas canisters to reinforce their might.

If the government is deaf to the demands of it's citizens and those that manifest are met not with dialogue, but violence, how do we resolve anything?

Artwork ready to hang.

Materials used:

Acrylic and pencil on board
