Artwork description:
At breakfast in a hotel in Lille, I looked through a window onto a courtyard where young people were drifting in and out and chatting in small groups. I supposed most of them had popped out to smoke a cigarette. They were all dressed in dark and shiny business clothes and might well have been in for a dreary day, but for ten blessed minutes they could be themselves and enjoy a laugh and a fag.
This is an original relief print pulled from engravings cut in rubber. The published edition is 7 prints only. The sheet is 10½ x 15 inches (263 x 381 mm) and the image is 6½ x 9½ inches (165 x 241 mm). I can trim the sheet to a particular size if you would like. oil-based printing ink, off-white Zerkall mould-made paper 145 gsm
