Original artwork description:

This is a journey into history. My representation of ancient Egyptian art which is mostly in the form of painting, sculpture and architecture produced about 3000BC to 30AD. The portrait in the center is my representation of Nefertiti who according to history was the royal mistress of the great Egyptian pharaoh called Akhenaten during the 14th century BC. Akhenaten and his wife Nefertiti were said to have established the cult of Aten, the sun god and promoted Egyptian art work. During Akhenaten’s reign he banned the worship of Egypt's old gods in favour of Aten. Nefertiti means a beautiful woman has come. The portrait on the left is my representation of King Tutankhamen who under his reign, worship of Egypt's traditional gods was restored. The portrait on the right is my representation of queen Nefertari who was the first of the great royal wives of Ramesses. Nefertiti means beautiful companion.
