"A Handful of Memories" is a piece close to my heart. It’s inspired by the landscapes I love most—the rolling hills, cosy cottages, and little details that make the countryside feel so magical. When I was carving this print, I found myself drawn to the small moments: the curve of a path, the way trees stand together like old friends, and the quiet charm of a village tucked into the land.

This print was made using the reduction linocut technique, where each colour is carefully carved and printed by hand. It’s a slow and thoughtful process, but I love how it allows me to build up layers of texture and colour, making each piece completely unique.

I wanted this artwork to feel like holding a handful of treasured memories—little glimpses of nature that spark joy and bring a sense of calm. Whether it reminds you of your own favourite places or simply brings some colour to your walls, I hope it feels as special to you as it does to me.

Materials used:

I use lino block and oil based relief ink to create my lino prints, using an etching press.
