As the sun dips on the horizon and the evening light hits the puddles of water on the beach, a rainbow of colours appear. As in a Seurat painting, pinpoints of contrasting colours sit side by side creating endless tones and shades. Mauve and aqua, blue and grey, beige and peach merge into one another. Made on the beach at Seilebost on the Isle of Harris, a dream of islands on a dream island.

Growing up, we had a Seurat print of The Canal of Gravelines - yachts in a harbour in a dreamy sea and sky with puffy clouds. I would look at it from a distance and then up close and get a different sensation each time the light hit the surface.

About My Work
I am passionate about using luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special large prints of my work I use beautiful museum quality Canvas and the highest quality inks. People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use.

A Note on Canvases
Your canvas will have 1.5 - 2 inches of white border for use by the framer in stretching round the sides of your frame. Once ready, they are carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery.
