The view from the Ponte dell'Accademia over Venice's Grand Canal. In bright April sunshine, amid the beautifully varied colors and elaborate architecture of Venice's buildings, is a small formal garden overlooking the Grand Canal. Its shady trees, provide rare greenery in the city, a peaceful oasis while the city bustles around it, people walking back and forth over the bridge and water taxis travelling along the Canal.
