This diptych comprises two paintings each measuring 70cm x 60cm. With so much commentary on modern art could a six year old really have created some of modern arts' most famous pieces? From Banksy to Warhol and Riley to Koons, could anyone have created these pieces? Is Koons a genius or just guilty of monkeying around? Could Banksy have designed Andy Warhol's banana design for The Velvet Underground record sleeve? Is Brigit Riley's op-art just a load of coloured bars? Are these truly great artists, or could a fucking monkey have done that ? This series is artist Stephen Beer's take on the debate. Both parts are on box canvas with painted edges, ready to hang.
