To my great joy, in July 2023, this painting participated in the international competition "Victory" and became the winner!!!
The painting shows a mountain of rusty chains and shackles, symbolizing the violence and restrictions caused by the Russian aggression against Ukraine. However, the image of lush flowers growing from shackles personifies the victorious path of Ukraine to freedom and independence. The flowers are decorated with golden veins, demonstrating the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian people. The painting is made in the Petrykivka style to create an image of the revival of Ukraine after a dark and difficult period.
