Artwork description:

A handcarved copper limited edition version of this linoprint. Depicting a variety of ferns including the Maidenhair Spleenwort, an Oleander Hawk moth and Wood Nymph butterfly.

Printed as a variable edition meaning that each print can have different colours. 40 have been printed in this edition.
I have tried to photograph the prints to show that the copper shines when it catches the light. The metallic copper is a warmer and more orange hue that a metallic gold. Please note that metallic inks are tricky to photograph, so the colour can vary in different light.

Printed in oil based ink on Somerset velvet black 280gsm paper.

I'm always inspired by shapes and forms in nature, and magical little worlds that exist around us-often unoticed. I am also fascinated by ferns and their place in the natural history of our world, and have a love of moths. The Oleander moth can be found in the U.K. though sightings are rare.

Each printed is signed, dated and numbered in the edition. Arrives securely packaged in a hard backed package.

Materials used:

Somerset paper, oil based ink, lino
