Inspiration comes from all sorts of different places and this piece was quite a surprise for me because I bought a fucshia for the graden but thought it looked so lovely I'd put it in the studio for a while... then I just had to paint it! As the days went on the beautiful vibrant flowers sadly dropped but helped to add interest to the compostition, I have now planted it in my garden.

This is a large artwork measuring 24 x 36inches I've used acrylics and oil pastels and painted the deep edges a dark pink to set off the vivid colours within. It has been sealed with satin varnish and is ready to hang, no frame is required.
