A woman's face floats in a dark sky above a dramatic burning landscape and to the right, a tree's branches gently touch her face with the colours of the spectrum.
To the left, vivid red lips are about to kiss her's ... is it a memory or is it her second self?
Strong diagonal marks lead the eye from the bottom of the image, through the tree trunk up to the rainbow coloured branches which tenderly cup her face; it's as if she is listening to the tree, to the earth.
On the horizon I have suggested two little trees to represent twin souls or soulmates.
I have used compressed charcoal to achieve the intense black, then high quality chalk pastels and streaks of vivid Caran d'Ache pencil for the colouring. The main face is delicately highlighted with pale pencil.
The image is presented on Somerset 22 x 30 inches textured paper which has been primed with gesso.
I'm offering this artwork unframed; I believe my collectors prefer to match a frame to their existing artworks and decor, especially as it would be a featured piece in any room.
One of the photographs shows how it might look framed with a generous mount / mat … 32 x 40 inches / 80 x 105cm
However, if you would like advice on framing the artwork, please do not hesitate to email me through Artinder's email system - the Contact Me button is at the top of my shop page.
The pastel is sprayed with Winsor & Newton pastel fixative, packed very carefully.
Sent with a Certificate of Authenticity.
