Pastel Colours Fine Art Print Inspired by Seurat.
A calming image of the colours of the setting sun on the pools of water in the sand as the tide lies waiting to turn. Makes you dream of sunny days on distant shores. Made on the beach at Seilebost on the Isle of Harris.
From my new Hebridean Harmonies Collection. Others in the series include A Gift from the Sea, Sea Thrift, Sorrel Seas, Love in a Mist and The Timeless Tide.
Printed at 60 x 90 inches including a 2 inches white border for the framer to stretch around the sides of your frame.
About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.
