Since I was little, from when I was about 5 or 6 years old, I always felt the strange need to draw and paint. Drawing shapes with a simple pencil and then filling them with colors attracted me like a magnet, like that magical music that you don't want to stop listening to. At first it was a mix of different feelings, some good and some not so good, a way of appreciating life or as an escape from my problems or problems I saw around me. Now I know that art is also a kind of therapy, although not only for the one who creates it. Perhaps art is an indicator of certain aspects of our societies that are not included in the lists to make statistics and other types of studies.
Over time I have learned, as nature was becoming the main protagonist of my work (I think it always has been), that there is nothing better than transmitting the love I feel for this nature (reflected in my family and also in music) that helps me a lot. That's why I think my painting is an attempt to explain this love I feel for them, which is no different from the love for life, for all living beings. And I think I'm achieving it through the play of these simple shapes and the power of color, which is also energy, heat... human, therefore: love.
What you see in these works, which I've been doing for a few years, are not, for the most part, "real" landscapes. They are what I call "Dream landscapes", that is, not an exact copy of a specific place, but the feeling that nature transmits to me, when I see it in person or, for example, learning from other works of art, mainly from landscape painters, but also surfing the internet, looking at photos in magazines, listening to music, etc., and then expressing it in a symbolic way.
The canvas has painted edges, it does not need to be framed.
