Original artwork description:

This tiny village in Aberdeenshire, in the north of Scotland, consistes of a single row of cottages along the seafront. At one time the only access was by sea but now there is a very steep road down to the village although cars cannot be taken along the front since the ledge is too narrow. Here is depicted a a handful of the little brightly coloured cottages on a day when the sea is rough, causing some spray and the clouds are few.
