I painted this abstract in late November 2020. It tries to encapsulate many different themes relating to Christmas and the second wave of covid. There are themes of Christmas lights, icicles, frost on window panes, the interconnectedness of everyone and also social distancing. There are five subtly different colours used from left to right; they appear to form a single pattern but there are actually five different patterns, representing social distancing. All of the patterns are above an area of grey which represents a graph of the number of covid cases.
It is a thoughtful piece, that in addition to being enjoyed for the messages it contains can also be seen as a pure abstract. It is ready to hang.
Acrylic paint brushed over canvas.
