Original artwork description:

This painting is about the memory of arriving at A Coruna Harbour on the north western tip of Galicia in Spain. We sailed into a A Coruna in very strong winds and rain in October. In fact we had to stay in the harbour for about three weeks, while very heavy weather came in, there were multiple yachts arriving during that period with torn sails and stories of100 foot waves. This painting is about the experience of coming into the harbour which was very exposed to the stormy waves in the bay, the following day we had to move the boat to an inner harbour to protect it from the bad weather and many boats were destroyed in the outer harbour before the storms had passed through.

Materials used:

oil paint
