Original artwork description:

After crossing the Biscay in our first long sailing trip, we were kept in harbour for three weeks on the north west tip of Spain at A Coruna. People would arrive with tattered sails and stories of 100 foot waves on the Biscay outside. Our own experiences of big seas have been overwhelming and rewarding, the trees in the painting are clinging onto the rocks, a we were struggling to keep our composure in the presence of the huge forces of nature.

Materials used:

oil paint
