I wanted to produce a painting that casts a light on the refugee crisis and the terrible suffering that the refugees have had to endure. The portrait is of a Syrian Boy who is now living in a Turkish refugee camp but it could also be of an Iraqi boy or a Yemeni boy...
It was really important to me that I show the devastating contradiction between the beautiful innocence of childhood and the destruction of the bombings inflicted by a foreign country.
"The conversation between A Syrian Refugee and A Foreign Bomb" captures the micro second when the bomb lands and is about to explode. The bomb does not have the time for conversation whilst the boy has accepted the brutality of the world that he has grown into.
Ultimately as the bomb states "Time is Money."
I wanted to paint "The Conversation Between A Syrian Refugee And A Foreign Bomb" in a realism style using oil paints on canvas. I wanted to create a documentary of the consequences of war.
I primed the canvas in red paint and started building the layers of the oil painting initially using large brushes and gradually decreasing the size of the brushes until I used single hair brushes for the smallest of detail.
FREE SHIPPING- The painting is professionally packaged and shipped within 5 working days and tracked and insured during delivery
ORIGINAL ART- "A Conversation Between A Syrian Refugee and A Foreign Bomb" is an original oil painting signed on the front and professionally framed in a bespoke frame. The painting is unique as there are no prints.
