A COLOURFUL SYMPHONY

The theory and history of colour fascinates me and engulfs my work. Simultaneous contrasts help each colour sing. I use wonderful colours, either mixed by hand or the intense pigments of quality paints such as Gamblin or Michael Harding. My painting speaks to me as I create, it takes the lead!

I've use a professional quality Stretched Block Canvases ,380 gsm, 100% cotton. Primed with a low-absorbency universal primer.
The stretcher frame is made from high quality wood from sustainable forests and the profile is in one single piece.
The canvas can easily be hung without further framing due to the stability of the thick stretchers. which have a cross support bar for increased strength.

The canvas was continually rotated in process so may be hung in any orientation.
