Original artwork description:

I painted this on location at the Levant mine on the north Cornish coast.
This coast is very inspiring to paint as it is dotted with old copper and lead mine, buildings, including some rather fine chimneys, like this one.
I loved the gentle taper as it rises up and the brick top, which was designed to keep the chimney top warm, to help with smoke extraction.
