A Catastrophist View of Bali 16x20 Oil On Canvas_x000D_ _x000D_ I started this a few years ago. I am a catastrophist my partner is not so this image came about when we were discussing moving to Bali for several months. We never went but I rediscovered this painting And it struck me immediately made me laugh. I finished it off today. This is a great representation of my chaotic thought process. I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement. I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.
