Original artwork description:

After arriving at my home in the south of France where I meant to be for a few months, I left abruptly after only a few weeks. Borders were losing, and France went on lockdown for what I knew could be much longer than reported. With my family in the USA, I returned to a new Vintage Beach Cottage that we had just rented before my departure. So under “Stay at Home”: orders, I have been chipping away at getting the little house transformed into a “Home”. .It’s taken a couple of weeks, but I found a little corner of a room that finally inspired a painting. My Ukelele, Some freshly picked flowers, and a Cushion I had made from a painting I did ( and sold here) a couple of years ago, a painting that hangs on an adjacent wall, et Voila! This is as autobiographical as any piece I have done in recent years. Capturing a snippet of the Interior of my own home, seemed apt during this time when all around the world, we are trying to become accustomed to “staying at home”. This canvas is painted around the edges so it can be hung unframed if preferred.
