This is a handprinted linocut, I cut the linoleum with sharp knives, it is a bit like sculpting the plate, and direction of cut, thickness of the cut etc all play a vital role in how the image will look when printed. I then roll up the lino plate with black ink and print it onto a crisp white heavy weight piece of printmaking paper.
Once dry I sign and number the print, the bear is printed in a limited edition of only 50 prints.

The piece of paper measures 16" x 20" (40 cm x 50 cm )
and the actual printed image measures 12" x 14.5" (30 cm x 37 cm )
When buying prints, a good tip is to cut a piece of paper to this size, that gives you a much better idea of the size than anything else. This print fits a standard frame.
