Based on a study that goes by the same name, 'A baffled world' replicates the same light whimsical optimism, which is countered by a weighty and morbid realism.
The painting depicts a man adrift in the stratosphere, plucked from a bewildered society. It promotes a message of peace, of escapism and of the solace found on a formidable landscape.
In the night sky, joining the journey, shine Venus and Mars. Both equally perplexed perhaps by the happenings on their nearest neighbour.
