Original artwork description:

We began working on the 2031 series in early 2021.

It was an intriguing experiment – to peer 10 years into the future and envision humanity's place in a world full of technology and innovation.

People become smarter and faster thanks to technological progress. Or they become more susceptible and controlled, mindless and disoriented.

Two extremes.

Extreme #1: ttention-holding algorithms, social networks, and artificial intelligence will become so intelligent and enticing that the modern individual will turn into a slave and ignoramus, becoming amorphous and addicted to cheap digital dopamine.

Extreme #2: People utilize the tools of the modern world to accelerate their growth and evolution. Artificial intelligence and other technological tools simplify human life and make it more comfortable and fulfilling.

Since the beginning of Russia-Ukraine war, we have witnessed a vivid manifestation of Extreme #1, where technology in the wrong hands aids in creating deepfakes, spreading propaganda, and influencing the choices of millions.

Extreme #2 has also surfaced in some examples.

One of them is our friend, Andrey Doronichev former Product Director at Google, who has created a series of AI-based startups that help detect propaganda and bias in news feeds (Bias-o-Meter startup), or startup for recognizing content created by artificial intelligence (Aiornot).

All of these tools help to distinguish truth from falsehood, enabling informed decision-making based on a conscious perception of reality.

We are confident that by 2031, enough countermeasures will be developed in the modern world to skillfully balance and lead a conscious, fulfilling, and interesting life.

The 2031 series will continue until 2031, reflecting events related to the impact of technological progress on the modern individual.

Strength lies in minedfulness.

Life goes on.
