My works are not painted but cast in oak panels using standard wall filler.

This is the second work in a small series titled Stone Conversations. When we enter a relationship, it’s always encircled by an act of language—a vow. Even when marriage is not in the picture, there is a need for vocal commitment. Love is an answer to the predicament of desire. As we become subjects, we are separated from everything else. To be aware of ourselves is to be alienated by language. We can never experience the true nature of the world. But we can also use language to shape and master materiality and, that way, (re)connect to the world. This is what love does when the call is answered and faith in language is secured.
