Original artwork description:

I had a desire to paint an abandoned room with a sense of place. I painted it with oils on a purposely built wooden room walls. I choose oils for the colour quality and to create an oil painting with a difference. I chose the tarnished antique gold frames to show the preciousness of preserving the room frozen in time.
On one side of the room I placed a chair to cast shadows on the walls where tarnished markings of a picture once hanged. The other side of the room I inserted my art photo into a mirror, reflecting the other side of the room before it was derelict with the light flowing through from the hallway. Capturing a story of a moment frozen in time, never to be repeated.

I designed the wallpaper from the style of my family home in the 1980’s and printed it on real wallpaper to achieve the wall surface as lifelike as possible. When you walk around them you will feel a sense of place and mystery.
