Original painting depicting The Great Train Robbery which took place in 1963. Several composition drawings were initially sketched out before beginning the oil painting. The painting depicts 6 of the gang members carrying the stolen mail bags down the embankment at Bridego Bridge to which they were loaded into waiting vehicles. The painting is currently unframed with the sides of the canvas painted black. The painting is signed in the bottom right corner by British Artist Mark R Haywood.
