Original artwork description:

"I wait for you where the sea is no longer visible,
where the dawn does not come if you are not there"
The two anthropomorphic entities represent the "two universes" of the title. One appears more grounded (with one foot touching the ground), symbolizing the material, tangible, and rational world. The other appears elevated or dissolving, with lines fraying into splashes, indicating an ethereal, spiritual, or unconscious realm. Together, they embody cosmic duality: yin and yang, masculine and feminine, matter and spirit, or even parallel dimensions in quantum physics. Their intertwining—an embrace or a fusion—symbolizes the unity that emerges from division, suggesting that opposites are not in conflict but interconnected, as in quantum entanglement where two particles influence each other from a distance.
The curved and irregular lines, combined with the ink splashes, evoke a perpetual motion, similar to a cosmic dance or a primordial explosion (the Big Bang). Symbolically, this represents the flow of vital energy (prana or chi), the creative chaos from which order arises, or the transition between parallel realities. The random splashes introduce an element of unpredictability, harking back to the concept of quantum randomness or the Freudian subconscious, where the unconscious bursts into the conscious. The dominant white of the background amplifies this feeling of cosmic emptiness, a "nothingness" from which forms emerge, symbolizing the infinite potential of the universe.
The pose of the figures, with outstretched arms and merging bodies, can symbolize love, partnership, or mystical union (as in alchemy, the coniunctio oppositorum). In a broader context, it reflects the connection between worlds: perhaps the encounter between life and death, reality and dream, or individual and collective. The anatomical distortion of the figures suggests a transformation—an evolution or transcendence—where individual boundaries dissolve, symbolizing the expansion of consciousness or access to multiverses.
The exclusive use of black ink on a white background emphasizes the binary polarity (light/shadow, presence/absence), a universal symbol of cosmic balance. The ink technique, with spontaneous strokes and splashes, recalls Eastern art (sumi-e), where emptiness is as significant as fullness, symbolizing the harmony between control and abandon.

"2 Universes" explores existential and metaphysical themes, inviting the viewer to reflect on the interconnected nature of reality, in a universe where separation is illusory and connection is eternal.
