Original artwork description:

This original stitched painting is of the Gecophone Automatic Telephone of the 1930s, made of Bakelite.

It's part of a collection called 'The Talkies' which is inspired by how we used to communicate. Here you see it in a classic 1930s office setting with its traditional filing cabinets and Art Deco windows.

'Gecophone' has been created using embroidered threads, acrylic pigments and translucent papers, all on natural calico fabric.

Please note that the colours you see on your monitor may differ slightly from the colour of the original artwork.
