Artwork description:

The subject is the Thames Barriers, designed by Sir Roger Talbot Waters, which is a series of flood gates designed to prevent London from flooding in times of tidal surge. I was prompted to try my technique because of the way the light made the silver plated domes and yellow machinery stand out from the murky water. Combined with the blue sky the colours blend together to create a very happy accident.

Materials used:

310 gsm Canson Baryta, acid free, museum grade, archival photographic paper
