Original artwork description:
Mark Rothko believed that his color field paintings would surround and engulf the viewer with the feeling of color. This painting was inspired by Rothko and hopefully embraces the viewer with the colors of red, yellow, ocher, brown and gray. After viewing the Phillips collection, I wanted to follow in Rothko's footsteps.
