I have worked with photographing fabric with applied motion for a long time, and love the sense of fluidity and motion conveyed by those combined elements. With this new investigation, I have simplified the process by using only one piece of fabric and photographing it against a neutral background, which allows the single piece of material to create the entire image, thus creating photographs which are simultaneously simple and complex, a contradiction I very much enjoy.
