The tools of digital photography now offer such precision that it becomes an understandable temptation to completely control every aspect of picture making. Series Ten challenges the dominance of control and precision and instead encourages the creative friction of multiple overlapping elements to occur. With these images I initially select materials based on color and texture, add motion and then photograph intuitively as a session of semi-controlled chaos unfolds in front of the camera.

The images are printed 19” x 13” (though other sizes are available upon request) on Hahnemuehle fine arts papers, and all images are rights managed.
