We're super excited to announce our partnership with UK based charity, Trees for Cities. Trees for Cities will become Artfinder's volunteering partner. In 2019, team Artfinder got stuck in and planted over 200 trees on two separate volunteering days.
Trees for Cities is the only UK charity working at a national and international scale to improve lives by planting trees in cities.
They get stuck in with local communities to cultivate lasting change in their neighbourhoods – whether it’s revitalising forgotten spaces, creating healthier environments or getting people excited about growing, foraging and eating healthy food. Amongst other initiatives, team Artfinder will be volunteering for Trees for Cities, taking part in tree planting days throughout the year.
Artfinder CEO, Michal Szczesny comments:
“Climate change is the single biggest threat to humanity as well as all the animal and plant species on Earth. Planting trees is one of the most effective ways of offsetting carbon and must be done at large scale if we are to stand a chance of averting a global disaster. We are partnering with Trees for Cities and volunteering our team’s time to planting trees locally to help offset our impact on the environment. This is just a beginning of what’s to come and I can’t wait to share more about our future environmental initiatives. At the end of the day, what’s going to be left of our human creativity and art if we don’t strive to save our planet? We must act now!”
