Meet the team: Anna

Hi all,

Welcome to our ongoing Q&A feature, where we introduce a member of the Artfinder team to our community. This time, we speak with Anna, our Performance Marketing Manager.

Q: Could you start by introducing yourself to our community?

Hi, I'm Anna. I have worked in Paid Media for about 9 years now. Before that, I used to learn and teach foreign languages to others but at some point I discovered numbers can be fun too.

Q: How long have you worked with Artfinder and what is your role in the company?

I joined the Marketing team as a Paid Media Manager about six months ago, which means I look after most of our ads.

Q: What have been your highlights of working with Artfinder so far?

The team. It's been amazing to see how passionate everyone in the team is about their role and the difference they can make not only to the business but also artists' professional careers and lives. I think this is what makes this job so different from others I had. People genuinely care. It's also very inspiring to watch how some of the art comes about, how artists express themselves and find their own voice through their work.

Q: Do you come from a creative background? Do you engage in creative activities yourself?

Not really. Maybe apart from my grandfather who used to come up with very creative ideas for fixing anything that broke at our house, but I'm not sure that counts. Personally, I will happily join my daughter if she asks me to draw something together but I guess I shouldn't apply to join Artfinder as an artist just yet.

Q: What does working for a B Corp mean to you?

It's great to see that the company takes into account the social and environmental impact of the decisions they make. Also, it's amazing to see the number of trees planted go up with every sale.

Q: What do you like doing in your spare time?

I like almost anything Italian, so I am learning the language, listen to a lot of Italian music and eat a lot of Italian food. I also like trying new recipes myself. I read when I find time but recently you will usually find me on a climbing frame at some playground with my daughter.

Q: The past few years have been challenging with world events such as Covid and the War in Ukraine. How do you look after your mental health when going through difficult times?

A couple of years ago I moved to the seaside and I have to say it's been an amazing experience. Being closer to nature grounds me and helps put things into perspective.

Q: If you could take only three items with you to a desert island, what would they be?

Hmm... a kettle and lots of tea (they always come together so count as one :), a tent and a book to keep me entertained until someone helps me back to civilisation.

Q: Finally, do you have any message for our community?

It's been really nice to get to know some of you and learn more about others through the interviews. I look forward to more.
