“I spent over an hour taking the above photograph, which consists of over 50 individual photos, resulting in a 360 degree view of Castle Haven, Isle of Wight. Very little post-processing was needed on the milky way in these photos due to how clear it was that night, combined with the little light pollution in the West towns here. The negative-effects of light pollution is evident in the left of the image (facing East) which is home to the populated towns of Ventnor/Shanklin/Sandown. As the light pollution starts to fade out a large faint smudge can be seen, this is in fact the Andromeda galaxy!”
