About Elina Zelena

  • Biography
I have always been inspired by the diversity of female beauty. I strive to convey not only physical features In my paintings but also an emotional state using expressive lines of the body, weaving in airy strands of hair and collecting pastel tones of colors. Flowers help me add symbolism and become part of the painting's plot giving it mystery and depth. The monochromatic background in which my heroines are immersed creates a feeling of space and air, focusing the viewer’s gaze on the female portrait.
I have a vast experience in painting, so the stile I use with acrylic paints borrows both watercolor and oil techniques, which gives my works a certain illustrative quality on the verge of realism.
It is a great pleasure for me to create my works and at this stage I am open to new experiments and challenges that will help me develop my creative potential.
