About Yuliia Poraiko

  • Biography
My name is Yuliia Poraiko (Palij is my maiden name and pseudonym in my paintings). I am an artist from Ukraine, 34 years old. I currently live and work in the United States with my family after recently moving here from my native Ivano-Frankivsk.

I am a versatile personality, and the main activity in my life is creativity. At this stage, I have created several hundred different works and found myself in art. I have experience in traditional painting, resin art and fluid art.

My works reflect my creativity and its essence, express my emotions in a certain period of my life, visualize my ideas and convey my vision of the world. Art for me is freedom. I like to experiment, try new techniques and materials, mix them up and look for new approaches, going beyond the templates. The process of working on a painting is as important to me as the result. It is not just a technique or a tool, but a way of interacting with my inner world and transforming emotions into visual images. Each of my works is a dialog with myself and the world around me, which opens up new horizons for self-expression.

In my works, I often use abstraction or elements that do not have a clear shape or seem somewhat incomplete, as this gives the viewer the opportunity to open their imagination and their own vision. I believe that art should be free, and it is this freedom in execution that reflects my main idea.
