About Yulian Campo

  • Biography

Yulian Campo paints a pictorial elaboration of colour and life in the landscapes. She has a marked personality in painting with pastels, combining the chromatic thickness of oils and pastel paints. Colour plays a vital ingredient in Campo’s Wheat Fields collection. It is considered a triumph over light, clear and dazzling in the forces that penetrate the complicated flower spreading throughout the fields.

Yulian Campo skillfully interlaces influences of textile design, aspects of geometric shapes and meticulously applied layers of her five colored palette to form the core of her current works.

In her hands, chaos is carefully manicured to give viewers a sense of visual music and vibrant tones. Applied oil paint and acrylic along the beeswax combine to create raised portions on her surfaces.

The reflections of these dualities, from country to city, from pragmatist to artist, from nature to technology, are essential to and evident in her paintings.
