Despite the odds, women artists have created groundbreaking works of art that inspire, challenge and move us. From painters like Frida Kahlo to sculptors like Louise Bourgeois and installation artists like Yayoi Kusama, these artists and many more have shown us the strength and beauty of female creativity. Biography
She received her Bachelor’s degree in Advertising from the Moscow University of Humanity, attended art school and private art lessons in Moscow, and studied in Painting at SKBG Collage in Berlin.
In 2024 Yulia completed the “Contemporary Art since 1990” course with Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
StatementYulia Ani’s art explores her psyche, emotions, and memories, transforming these internal landscapes into abstract forms.
Her intuitive process merges spontaneity with intention, creating works that balance figuration and abstraction. By distorting shapes, simplifying forms, and employing vibrant colors with expressive lines, Yulia translates personal experiences into a universal visual language.
In the spirit of Francis Bacon, she focuses on capturing both the essence of external forms and the energy beneath them.
Each piece becomes a portal, inviting the audience to explore the intersections of inner and outer realities.
Yulia’s approach combines the spontaneity of creativity with structured techniques, resulting in visually striking and thought-provoking works.
Yulia Ani’s artworks are part of private collections worldwide.
