About Wayne Longhurst
Biography
Wayne Longhurst is a linocut printmaker, based in Worthing, West Sussex. He has taken part in exhibitions across the UK as well as selling around the world. In 2020 he was shortlisted for the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition.
All of Wayne's pieces are hand carved and hand printed, using high quality oil based inks and acid free paper. If the piece requires multiple colours or shades for definition, the lightest colour is printed first, then Wayne will return to the lino and carve away more, to print a darker colour. This process is repeated until the print is complete. Therefore a print can never be repeated.
