    Painting "Cloud Motion V", the fifth in a series of large skyscapes

    I am painting the first layer on a large skyscape. There are many layers I build up on a painting to give it depth. In the background, a portrait of my grandfather (who was an artist all his life) and a landscape he painted in the 1950's are always hung in my studio as a reminder that he watches over me when I paint.
