Biography
Vanessa Poutou (b. 1979) is a contemporary artist, whose work focuses on the classical descriptive depiction, painted in a modern manner. Emphasis is given to facial expressions and body movements, which is reinforced by abstract twists, strong gestures and, often, surrealistic elements. Vanessa explores human innerstates like loneliness, nostalgia, love and the need for freedom.
