About Vanda Berecz

  • Biography
During my university years I studied fashion design, and specialized on leather accessories early on. In the past 12 years I established my own studio, and focused my attention on sharpening craft skills, while creating bags and other accessories mainly for women.
The covid lockdown in 2020 played a huge role in starting my journey as an artist. Creating art was a shelter from everyday anxiety. Being fully immersed in the slow pace of creation helped me to reconnect with the present moment, and reach the most vulnerable parts inside me. Since then, I participated in numerous exhibitions and also won a few grants in my home country. Currently I'm trying to reach new horizons, looking for exhibition opportunities all over the world.
