About Valeria D'Agostino

I am Valeria D'Agostino, an Italian figurative artist whose work is distinguished by the depiction of women in the company of geese. Born in Enna, Sicily, and moved to Lombardy at a young age, I developed an innate passion for art early on. As a self-taught artist, I refined my technique by creating commissioned works and portraits for 15 years, and I am currently attending a hyperrealistic painting course. The idea of painting women with geese came about by chance during a difficult period in my life. I was working on a painting inspired by a photo of a woman with a goose, and this painting made me feel protected and comforted. This experience was so significant that I decided to adopt a goose, which has become not only a muse but also a life and creative companion, leading me on a unique journey.
